Local Tourist Information Centres and Shops

Reddish Vale Country Park Visitors Centre

Reddish Vale Rd, Stockport SK5 7HE, UK – 0161 477 5637

Great place where you can buy cheap drinks, ice cream or other snacks. They even offer a ducks food in really good price, what can help keep the ducks more healthier. Every Thursday (except school holiday) morning there is a local toddler group.

Love this place so much! There's so much open space and a lovely visitors centre where you can buy feed for the ducks, tea, coffee and sweets for the children too at very reasonable prices.

Local Parks & Gardens

Dukinfield Park

39 Brunswick St, Dukinfield SK16 4DR, UK

Considering how close the park is to a busy main road, it is surprisingly calm and quiet and you soon forget the world outside the gates. There are different areas to explore including a children's play area (with slides, climbing frames, sand pit etc) and more formal planted areas. Be aware that the main park entrance is situated at the bottom of quite a steep hill

Good old duty park. Nice for a walk. And good events. Children's area nice and tidy.

North Reddish Park

22 Longford Rd W, Stockport SK5 6ET, UK

Great play area, although there's a frame of one piece of play equipment that has had nothing on it for around 8+ years! Apart from that it caters for younger and older kids as there's a play frame and slide for the younger ones, rocking chairs, baby+older swings, large slide, large climbing web and a spinning hanging rail. As well as the tennis/basketball courts and football pitch and the large field, it has everything u need for a good day in the park....apart from a toilet! On the whole, it's a really well maintained park and is dog friendly too!

Lovely park feel like there could be a bit more for children seen as you have the massive field and could do adventure days or fun days and stuff for kids

Debdale Park

1075 Hyde Rd, Manchester, Gorton M18 7LJ, UK – 0161 223 5182

Lovely park in summer and winter, take the dog a walk there often as we live nearby. Plenty of paths to walk even though it's not massive, and one which goes to part of the reservoir so the dog can go swimming which is great on nice days in summer. If you have kids the park for them is amazing...it was redone a few years ago and there is always kids in it. The only downside is the parking...there isn't a lot which isn't normally a problem but when it's really nice and there's a fair on it fills up very quick. Other than that it's my favourite park and has bee ever since I was little.

Play area needs some attention and the car park is pretty small but it's nice for a walk around especially if u have a dog. The reservoir is good for your dog to cool down in the summer and a great place for the kids to feed the ducks.
